Our story so far
Love2Last is a charitable trust which was set up in Sheffield in 2004. A group of teachers and doctors felt challenged by the emotional damage, sexual health implications and unwanted pregnancies impacting many young people. The prevailing advice from our culture was clearly failing these young people and we felt that they deserved to be provided with something better.
Our initial focus was on giving Love2Last presentations in schools and youth groups. Over the years, we have been encouraged to see young people who have heard these presentations flourish as they seek to live out the Bible's teachings. However, over recent years we have become increasingly aware of the limitations of giving isolated presentations.
Under the conviction that parents have been given a special responsibility by God to teach their children and prepare them for adult life, our emphasis started to move towards supporting and equipping parents and other significant adults such as youth leaders and teachers.
In 2016, we made the decision to expand our work and start to write and promote resources which help young people and parents, youth leaders and teachers to access the Bible's teaching on relationships, marriage and sex and other related issues. Relevant Biblical resources are now reviewed regularly in our resource library. We are also currently writing our own resources which we hope will help parents and their children to engage in helpful conversation and respond in a way that is based on the Bible and is honouring to God.
